The five weeks of practice, which begin at 4 p.m. Monday, will also give the Hilltoppers' six new position coaches a chance to show what they can do.
"I like the staff we have," WKU coach Jeff Brohm said Thursday. "They've meshed well to this point. They all like football. They're eager and willing, and hopefully we'll have a great year."
WKU lost six people who coached positions last season, including five full-time assistants.
Most left for jobs clearly on a larger stage. The destinations included Southern California, Washington State and the NFL's Cleveland Browns.
But that turnover was somewhat expected following the Tops' record-breaking 12-2 season, and change brings opportunity.
