BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- WKU softball won its third straight contest Wednesday evening as the Lady Toppers used a big third inning in order to defeat Tennessee Tech, 5-3, at the WKU Softball Complex.
WKU started fast as back-to-back first inning walks from Brooke Holloway and Carleigh Chaumont followed by an RBI single from Hannah Parker gave the Lady Toppers the early 1-0 advantage.
TTU knotted the score shortly after as a second inning solo home run to right field from Sarah Freels evened the contest heading into the third.
