STARKVILLE, Miss. -- WKU softball dropped its final contest of the Bulldog Slamboree Sunday afternoon as Mississippi State (16-3) silenced the Lady Toppers' bats throughout most of the game on its way to a 7-0 victory at Nusz Park.
MSU did all its damage on the scoreboard in two innings as the Bulldogs tallied four runs off a pair of hits in the first and then added three more runs to their total in the home half of the fifth.
A pair of MSU pitchers teamed up to hold WKU hitless through six complete innings of play.
