Softball. Lady Toppers Drop Series Finale to FIU Sunday

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- WKU softball couldn't overcome miscues on a cold and rainy day at the WKU softball complex as the Lady Toppers fell to FIU, 16-7, in five innings as the two teams concluded the weekend series Sunday afternoon.

The Panthers used 12 hits to record their 16 runs as FIU (18-14, 4-2 C-USA) plated runs in four of its five innings.

WKU was led once again by Jordan Mauch as the sophomore went perfect at the plate (2-for-2) with both hits being doubles. She also finished with a pair of RBI and now has a team-high 17 on the year.
