EL PASO, Texas — Redshirt Senior Catika Slay racked up 5,123 points in the heptathlon at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships on Thursday and Friday, tallying four top-five marks at Kidd Field.
The Memphis, Tenn., native finished in fourth place as she earned the women’s squad five points by completing seven events. Her two best showings came in the 200-meter dash (24.95) and long jump (5.72m) where she placed third in both events.
Jenessa Jackson did her part as well posting four points for the Red and White in the hammer throw with a season-best mark of 55.
