Scanlon succeeding in new spot as WKU tops MTSU 10-4

When Western Kentucky's Harrison Scanlon reintroduced himself to playing first base in the fall, he didn't expect to be in the position he is now.

Scanlon was one of six Hilltoppers with multiple hits in WKU's 10-4 victory Saturday over Middle Tennessee at Nick Denes Field.

"We went through that four-game rough spot where we were not really putting it together," Scanlon said. "We jumped on this guy early ... and then just good at-bat after good at-bat to get us going and scoring."

The Hilltoppers (13-9 overall, 2-3 Conference USA) tallied 16 hits in Saturday's rout, including four players with three hits apiece.
