NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The WKU men’s golf team earned a fourth-place finish Tuesday at Lipscomb’s Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate, while Billy Tom Sargent notched his fifth top-10 performance of the season.
The Hilltoppers finished the event with a three-round total of 898 (301-294-303) at the par-71, 6,925-yard Richland Country Club. Host Lipscomb won the title at 859 in the 14-team field.
The redshirt sophomore Sargent moved up the leaderboard Tuesday with a 1-over 72 in the final round for a 221 (75-74-72) total, tying for 10th. Sargent has led WKU in seven of 11 tournaments this season.
