MIAMI, Fla. — WKU Baseball lost Thursday night to FIU by a score of 23-6. Despite the result, Chris Rogers became the first WKU player in three years to hit a pair triples in the same game, the first two of his career.
The Hilltoppers faced a 5-0 deficit early, after five of the first six FIU hitters came around to score against starter Ryan Thurston. But the lefty came right back in the second inning to strike out the side and give his lineup a chance to catch up.
