For the second time this offseason, Western Kentucky reportedly has an opening on its men’s basketball coaching staff.
Assistant Shammond Williams has resigned from his duties with the Hilltoppers, Scout reported Monday. WKU couldn’t be reached for comment in the aftermath of the news.
Williams would be the second Topper assistant from the 2016-17 team to leave this offseason. Quannas White left this spring for a position at Houston, with program support staffer Ben Hansbrough earning a promotion to fill White’s role.
Williams joined coach Rick Stansbury’s staff last summer after spending the previous three years as an assistant at Tulane.
