One out from wrapping up the No. 3 seed in the Conference USA Tournament, the Western Kentucky baseball team saw its hopes for a top three finish in conference dashed with a furious rally from Old Dominion in a 12-10 loss Saturday at Nick Denes Field.
Old Dominion (35-19 overall, 16-14 Conference USA) scored seven runs with two outs in the ninth inning to take the series from the Hilltoppers and keep WKU at the No. 4 seed in the Conference USA Tournament – with the Hilltoppers facing Old Dominion again Wednesday in the tourney opener in Biloxi, Miss.
