A loss has given Western Kentucky the chance to focus on its fundamentals.
The Lady Toppers suffered their first loss since Dec. 2 on Saturday when they lost 83-75 in Murfreesboro, Tenn., to Middle Tennessee.
The loss was disappointing for a number of reasons – it snapped a 14-game winning streak, dropped WKU into second place in Conference USA and cost the team a chance for its first win on its archrival's home floor since 2004.
But coach Michelle Clark-Heard said Tuesday that loss has also served to refocus her Lady Toppers (17-3 overall, 8-1 C-USA).
