Western Kentucky men's basketball coach Ray Harper mentions Willie Carmichael and Jabari McGhee with frequency.
He lights up at interviews before practice when Carmichael comes bounding onto the auxiliary court at E.A. Diddle Arena, jumping around with unusual energy for warmups. He greets McGhee with enthusiasm when he arrives.
The pair of Tennessee transfers are just one of the reasons Harper already has lofty expectations for next year's squad.
"I'm excited about the recruits that we have in house, and I'm excited about some of the guys that we're involved with for next year as well," Harper said Monday on his weekly radio show.
