NORFOLK, Va. — Western Kentucky coach Ray Harper has called for better production from his post players on many occasions this year.
WKU's inside play from Aleksej Rostov, Ben Lawson, Justin Johnson and Anton Waters was a bright spot in a 68-62 road loss to the Monarchs at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
"I thought our bigs – Aleks, Ben, Justin and Anton – were terrific," Harper said. "I thought they fought. We outrebounded them, 16 offensive rebounds. I thought they were good. Saw some real positives out of those four."
Johnson paced WKU with 17 points and seven rebounds, making 5 of 9 shots and 7 of 8 free throws.
