DENTON, Texas — Fredrick Edmond went from sitting on the bench to leading the way for Western Kentucky.
The junior guard contributed eight points, seven rebounds and four assists to the Hilltoppers' 81-76 win at North Texas on Saturday. It was WKU's first road win of the season.
"Fred gave everything he had tonight – went and rebounded," WKU coach Ray Harper said. "He was committed to the defensive end."
Edmond played 33 minutes off the bench in Saturday's victory.
He sat out Thursday's 83-73 road loss at Rice after missing a team meeting last weekend.
