BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — There were some mixed signals from North Texas on Tuesday regarding star forward Jeremy Combs' health status.
Combs suffered a high ankle sprain last week, but the ninth-seeded Mean Green (12-19) hope to have him available when they face eighth-seeded Western Kentucky at noon Wednesday in the Conference USA Tournament at Legacy Arena.
"Jeremy's doing fine," UNT coach Tony Benford said. "Our trainer's doing a great job with him. He's been getting treatment three times a day. He's a game-time decision, but we feel good he's going to play. He feels good, but hopefully he'll be ready to go.
