Pancake Thomas has been on Western Kentucky’s campus for merely 1½ months.
Thomas’ Hilltopper teammates say the graduate senior guard has taken on a leadership role in his short time since coming to Bowling Green.
WKU forwards Willie Carmichael and Ben Lawson both praised Thomas’ leadership Friday night when talking after Hilltopper Hysteria at E.A. Diddle Arena.
Carmichael and Lawson – two of just five returning players from the 2015-16 Topper roster – were asked about the Hartford transfer Thomas who in September became a late addition to new coach Rick Stansbury’s WKU program.
The redshirt sophomore Carmichael said Thomas brings leadership and “the ability to know how to win.
