BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Hilltoppers return to E.A. Diddle Arena Thursday night at 6:30 (CT) after a four-game road trip and welcome the nation’s hottest team in UAB, who holds the nation’s longest active winning streak at 14-straight victories and is receiving votes in both Top 25 polls.
The Blazers lead Conference USA at 7-0 and are 17-3 overall and have not lost since an 82-77 overtime defeat against Virginia Tech in the Emerald Coast Classic on Nov. 28. UAB returns all five starters and 11 letterwinners from last year’s NCAA Tournament team that defeated third-seeded Iowa State in the second round, and the Blazers were picked as the 2015-16 C-USA favorite in the preseason poll.
