BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — As the calendar flips to 2017, WKU Hilltopper Basketball takes a three-game winning streak into its game at FIU at 6 p.m. CT Monday in Miami.
The Hilltoppers (7-7, 1-0 Conference USA) opened league play Saturday with a 69-54 win at Florida Atlantic. WKU outrebounded the Owls 50-29 with 19 offensive rebounds on its way to its eighth opening conference win in the last 10 seasons.
FIU (4-10, 0-1) fell 94-70 at home to Marshall in its C-USA opener Saturday. WKU leads the all-time series with the Panthers 32-7, although FIU won last year’s meeting in Bowling Green.
