BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU begins its second season in Conference USA Sunday at noon (CT) at Marshall sporting an 8-5 record and having won four of its last five games.
C-USA action features an 18-game schedule and culminates with the league tournament March 8-12 in Birmingham, Ala.
WKU leads the all-time series with Marshall, 13-6, and won the most recent meeting in the 2015 C-USA Tournament, but the Hilltoppers have dropped games in Huntington in each of the last two seasons.
In its inaugural season in C-USA last year, WKU stormed out of the gate and won its first seven league games, which was its best conference start since 1969-70.
