BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU begins its quest for a third conference tournament championship in the last five seasons Wednesday at noon (CT) against ninth-seeded North Texas at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Ala.
The Hilltoppers secured the eighth seed in the tournament with a pair of wins last week, including an overtime thriller over then-second-place LA Tech, and WKU enters the tournament having won four of its last five games. Old Dominion has also won four-of-five, and UAB has won five-straight entering tournament play.
Both of WKU’s conference tournament championships under head coach Ray Harper came by virtue of winning four games in four days, as would be the Hilltoppers’ task this year.
