BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- WKU secured its best win of the season Thursday night at third-place Middle Tennessee, leading for nearly 35 minutes and winning 78-72, and WKU now turns its attention to Conference USA-leading UAB Saturday morning at 11:00 (CT) in Birmingham.
The win was WKU's first in Murfreesboro since 2009, and WKU is going for its first three-game winning streak of the season after losing the three games prior by a combined 10 points, including two in overtime.
WKU handed UAB one of its two C-USA losses earlier in the season in Bowling Green, 69-62, which ended UAB's NCAA-leading 14-game winning streak and came when the Blazers were also receiving votes in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
