The WKU volleyball team suffered a pair of losses but earned a closing win in this weekend’s Cardinal Classic Tournament at the University of Louisville.
The Lady Toppers (5-2) dropped their first two matches of the game, falling to Louisville 1-3 and Illinois 0-3, while beating Kent State to close out the tournament with a 3-0 win.
Against Louisville (1-2), the Lady Toppers won the first set 25-18 but dropped the next three, with a final match score of 25-18, 19-25, 15-25, 16-25.
“It was a disappointing night for sure,” WKU head coach Travis Hudson said after the loss.
