MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Western Kentucky’s Conference USA showdown with Middle Tennessee on Saturday lived up to the hype.
There were big performances and momentum swings, nine ties and three lead changes.
But WKU couldn’t get enough stops, and in the end it was the Blue Raiders who made the most plays down the stretch and came out with an 83-75 victory at the Murphy Center.
MTSU (13-7 overall, 7-2 C-USA) outscored the Lady Toppers (17-3, 8-1) 28-16 in the fourth quarter to grab the win. WKU took its first C-USA loss and saw a 14-game winning streak snapped.
