The Western Kentucky softball team was held hitless through five innings in a 6-0 loss at Murray State on Tuesday.
The scheduled second game of the doubleheader lasted just under an inning before being canceled because of inclement weather.
Murray State (19-28) used a three-run homer from Maggie Glass in the second inning, a two-run double from Madison Culver and a WKU wild pitch in the sixth to plate all six of its runs.
Kelsey Jernigan was credited with the loss for WKU (16-25), giving up five earned runs with six strikeouts in the first complete game of her career.
