WKU played two matches Friday at the Holiday Inn – University Plaza Invitational. The Lady Tops (5-4) dispatched Chattanooga 3-0 in the day’s first match before fighting off Notre Dame 3-2 in a five-set thriller.
WKU’s defense responded in the final game and held the Fighting Irish to a .000 attacking percentage. An Irish service error sealed the Lady Tops’ 15-10 set victory and 3-2 match win.
