Western Kentucky got one of its most enthusiastic crowds Thursday morning. The Lady Toppers gave those in attendance plenty to cheer about early and often.
WKU built a 15-point lead in the first quarter and rolled to a 68-51 win against Conference USA foe Old Dominion on Spread the Red Education Day.
The Lady Toppers (15-2 overall, 6-0 C-USA) forced the Lady Monarchs (7-11, 3-3) into 22 turnovers, scoring 29 points off those miscues.
Four WKU players scored in double figures as the team sent a crowd of 2,814 fans – most of whom were local elementary and middle school students – home happy.
