After trips to Alaska, south Florida and everywhere in between, Western Kentucky finally gets to spend some time at home.
The Lady Toppers open a season-long four-game homestand at 7 p.m. Thursday against Conference USA foe Rice.
WKU (12-2, 3-0 C-USA) has only played five of its games this season at E.A. Diddle Arena. The team has played eight true road games and one neutral-site contest.
The Lady Toppers couldn’t be more excited for two weeks of taking the floor on their own campus in front of their home fans, Ivy Brown said.
“It’s always fun to play in front of your home crowd with the energy they bring,” the sophomore forward told the Daily News on Wednesday.
