Western Kentucky has won the battle on the boards this season. Those rebounding efforts are one of the reasons the Lady Toppers have won games.
WKU has outrebounded its opponents by an average of 4.8 rebounds per game, the third-best total in Conference USA. The Lady Toppers’ 40.3 rpg are the fifth-most in C-USA, while their 35.5 rpg allowed are tied with Middle Tennessee for the third-fewest allowed in the league.
Success on the boards has helped WKU to a 12-2 overall record and 3-0 mark in C-USA, forward Jalynn McClain said.
“It’s just something that we’ve got to continue to do,” the Lady Topper senior told the Daily News in a phone interview Saturday.
