Western Kentucky’s soccer program announced a six-player 2016 signing class Monday.
Four of the six signees have represented their states in the Olympic Development Program, and one played on a national team.
“We are incredibly excited about this recruiting class,” WKU coach Jason Neidell said in a statement. “These players bring a tremendous competitive mentality, and they fulfill specific skill sets that we felt were necessary to compete at the top of Conference USA.”
Chandler Backes, a 5-foot-9 forward/defender from Carmel, Ind., was a two-time all-state honoree and was named all-conference and all-district all four years of her prep career.
