MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — There are times when Micah Jones almost needs to be reminded to shoot the basketball. Western Kentucky coach Michelle Clark-Heard said she had that type of conversation with her veteran point guard after the first quarter at Middle Tennessee on Thursday.
Jones eventually settled in for her best shooting night of the season and now sits just single digits away from joining elite Lady Topper company.
The redshirt senior scored a season-high 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field in Western Kentucky’s 82-75 win over rival Middle Tennessee.
“I credit my teammates and coaches,” Jones said.
