Western Kentucky junior forward Justin Johnson was named to the 2016-17 All-Conference USA Second Team on Monday.
Johnson, a 6-foot-7 junior from Hazard, is WKU’s first postseason all-conference selection since T.J. Price (first team) and George Fant (second team) were selected in 2014-15.
Johnson was also named a second-team preseason all-conference selection this season.
The versatile forward leads WKU in both scoring (14.5 points per game) and rebounding (9.2 per game), and he leads Conference USA in both rebounding and double-doubles (13). Johnson ranks in the top 40 nationally in the latter two categories.
In conference play, Johnson has increased his production with 15.
