The Toppers scored two touchdowns – one offensive, one defensive – in the final 1:38 on Saturday night and rallied for a 33-21 victory at Houchens-Smith Stadium.
WKU (2-2) never trailed until the Cardinals (2-2) scored a touchdown with 4:50 left to take a 21-20 lead. Rather than fold up, the Hilltoppers responded.
The redshirt senior White piloted WKU 76 yards in eight plays on its ensuing possession. Freshman running back Jakairi Moses capped that series with a 5-yard touchdown run that gave the Tops a 26-21 lead.
The senior cornerback Brown intercepted a Jack Milas pass and returned it 34 yards for a touchdown.
