That rut continued Saturday night with a 30-23 loss to Marshall at Joan C. Edwards Stadium. It was the Hilltoppers’ third straight defeat, dropping a team that once stood at 5-2 overall to 5-5 and 3-3 in Conference USA play.

WKU made a late scramble from a 30-10 hole, cutting the deficit to 30-23 with 3:02 to play on a 27-yard TD pass from the QB White to wide receiver Quin Jernighan.
