Off-court drama didn’t affect on-court results Saturday afternoon for Western Kentucky.
The Hilltoppers had no trouble with Division II program Kentucky Wesleyan, rolling to a 96-71 win in an exhibition at E.A. Diddle Arena. Charles Bassey (24 points), Taveion Hollingsworth (24) and Jared Savage (17) all enjoyed big scoring days for the Hilltoppers.
While the game itself was stress-free, the preceding days included three different off-court incidents.
Josh Anderson and Desean Murray both sat out Saturday’s exhibition serving suspensions while Hollingsworth returned from his own one-game suspension. All three players have dealt with various legal situations since Monday.
