A two home run day by Brittany Vaughn in addition to Jordan Vorbrink’s first long ball as a Hilltopper helped Western Kentucky's softball team to a split decision Friday in the Chattanooga Challenge in Chattanooga, Tenn.
WKU (5-3), claimed the day’s opening game over Tennessee State in another run-rule walk-off victory – a 10-0 decision in five innings. In their second meeting with Tennessee Tech in as many days, the Hilltoppers pieced together a seventh-inning rally that ended up falling just short in a 7-6 loss.
Morgan McElroy put together a 3-for-5 day at the plate with a pair of walks and three RBIs.
