Hilltoppers land 17 on all-conference teams

No. 25 Western Kentucky placed 17 players on the All-Conference USA teams released Tuesday, as voted by the league coaches.

WKU received the league's most first-team members with six, including four from the Hilltoppers' powerful offense.

That group was led by quarterback Brandon Doughty, who leads the FBS in touchdowns (45), completion percentage (71.8) and points responsible for (286). Doughty was named the Conference USA championship MVP on Saturday after throwing for 410 yards with four total touchdowns.

Receiver Taywan Taylor made the first team after ranking second in the FBS in receiving touchdowns (17) and tying for fourth in yards (1,363).
