Western Kentucky had a golden chance to start Conference USA play with a win. The Hilltoppers instead blew a fourth-quarter lead Sept. 16 against Louisiana Tech, falling 23-22 and starting C-USA play in the hole at 0-1.
The Toppers (2-2 overall, 0-1 C-USA), who are coming off a bye week, will try to pick up that first conference win Saturday when they face Texas-El Paso (0-5, 0-1). Kickoff from the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas is set for 7 p.m. CDT, with the game to be streamed on CUSA.tv.
