WKU (1-5 overall, 0-2 Conference USA) has lost 10 of its last 12 games dating to last October. The Toppers were drilled Saturday as 9½-point favorites against a team they beat 45-14 last season.
Charlotte (3-3 overall, 2-1 Conference USA) joined the league in 2015 and never scored more than 38 points in a C-USA game before Saturday. The 49ers also never defeated a Conference USA opponent before Saturday by more than 11 points.
