Four Hilltoppers scored at least 15 points, a fifth nearly posted a triple-double and WKU took down No. 15 Wisconsin 83-76 in a raucous E.A. Diddle Arena.
An announced crowd of 7,614 soaked up every minute of the Toppers’ upset victory. It was the fourth-largest crowd to see a game at Diddle Arena since the building’s 2002 renovation.
The Badgers beat the Hilltoppers 81-80 last season in Madison, Wis. Badgers guard Brad Davison hit the game-winning free throw with just two seconds left after drawing a controversial foul call on WKU forward Marek Nelson.
Tops fans certainly didn’t forget.
