Every starter had at least one hit as Western Kentucky's baseball team beat Northern Illinois 4-2 on Saturday at Nick Denes Field for the Hilltoppers' fourth straight win.
WKU's Chase Larsen led the way with three hits and Colie Currie tied a career-high with three RBIs.
Making his first start of the season, righty Paul Kirkpatrick gave WKU its third consecutive six-inning start against the Huskies. Kirkpatrick struck out five and allowed two earned runs, scattering four hits and issuing only one walk. He capped his outing with a pair of strikeouts in a 1-2-3 sixth frame, finishing with 61 of 99 pitches for strikes.
