The WKU track and field team had another strong showing this weekend at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Florida.
The competition was tough, with over 90 collegiate teams and seven teams ranked on both the men’s and women’s sides.
Senior Desmond Mobley highlighted the weekend for the Hilltoppers as he finished third in the long jump with a jump of 7.57 meters. The men’s 4x400-meter relay team finished fourth with a time of 3:07.10, which was a nearly five-second improvement from the preliminaries. Juniors Austin Hayes, Kymari Gates and Will Bush ran the relay for the Hilltoppers along with freshman David Surani.
