Hilltoppers come up short in bid for series sweep at home

The Hilltoppers breezed past the Great Danes 12-2 in game one, but a late rally came up short in a 7-4 loss in the nightcap.

WKU (10-5) took two out of three in the weekend series, but were still disappointed that it couldn't take all three games.

"That's a disappointed group," WKU coach John Pawlowski said. "They knew how hard they've worked to find success and certainly we didn't find it in game two.
