Western Kentucky’s been an efficient 3-point shooting team all season. The Hilltoppers caught a hot hand again Saturday and rode it to a victory.
WKU hit a season-best 12 3-pointers, including four from guard Darius Thompson and three from forward Justin Johnson, and beat Southern Mississippi 82-66 at E.A. Diddle Arena.
The Hilltoppers led for more than 37 minutes, and by as many as 19 points, on their way to a second Conference USA win in as many league games. WKU (10-5 overall, 2-0 C-USA) sits atop the league standings after the first weekend of C-USA play.
