Charles Bassey came to Western Kentucky and turned in one of the best seasons by a freshman in program history.
Now the 6-foot-11 center faces a choice whether he wants to return for a sophomore year or pursue professional basketball.
Bassey can put his name into the 2019 NBA Draft between now and the early entry eligibility deadline of 10:59 p.m. April 21.
If Bassey does so, it doesn’t mean his college career would necessarily be over.
The Lagos, Nigeria, native could enter the draft pool before that April deadline, receive feedback from NBA teams and then elect to return to WKU.
