Heard: Leaving WKU is "one of the hardest decisions" of her career

Western Kentucky officially announced the resignation of women's basketball coach Michelle Clark-Heard on Tuesday afternoon.

Heard, who coached her alma mater to 154 wins in six seasons, is expected to be announced as the next coach at the University of Cincinnati later Tuesday.

"This is one of the hardest decisions that I have ever made in my career," Heard said in a statement released by the university on Tuesday.
