Haskins, Chapman reflect on special WKU squads from 1965-66, '66-67

As Clem Haskins sat high atop E.A. Diddle Arena on Saturday, with the venue seating fewer people and less full than when he played decades ago, he could still envision the building packed to the brim for his Hilltoppers.

"It was probably the greatest time of my life, in terms of truly enjoying the game of basketball," Haskins said. "I was playing for a great institution. Now you look around, and it's maybe a third full, but we had bleachers here and had 13,500 every game.

"If you didn't get here by 5:30 or 6 (p.m.), you didn't get in.
