MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Western Kentucky is starting to flip its season-long, late-game script.
A Hilltopper team plagued all year by second-half struggles is riding a modest two-game winning streak thanks to some late heroics.
On Saturday, WKU overcame a miserable first half and a double-digit deficit against Charlotte, rallying in the second half for a 59-54 win.
Then Thursday, the Toppers led Middle Tennessee most of the way, watched the Blue Raiders come back from a 10-point hole to take a late lead, then delivered a final knockout blow to seal a 78-72 win at the Murphy Center.
