The seconds ticked down Monday as Western Kentucky sealed an emotional win against Marshall.
Center Charles Bassey, who was trailing Anderson, roared as the sophomore finished off the 68-59 victory. So too did most of the 6,369 fans in E.A. Diddle Arena.
Anderson and the Toppers (10-9 overall, 3-3 Conference USA) will look for a third straight win Thursday night at Southern Mississippi (11-8, 3-4).
The Hilltoppers lost to Florida International, then beat Florida Atlantic and Marshall over a three-game homestand that started Jan. 17 and ended Monday.
Anderson scored 25 points Monday in the win over Marshall, six better than his previous career high.
