Green was the difference again in Old Dominion’s 62-56 win over WKU in the C-USA championship game Saturday at The Star, helping the Monarchs secure an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The redshirt sophomore guard had just two points in the first 20 minutes on 1 of 5 shooting. He was perfect on all three triples in the second half and added 14 points.
Once Marek Nelson’s layup with 11:04 left gave WKU a three-point lead, Green took over on the other end. His three-point play tied it, and a 3-pointer less than minute later never allowed WKU back into the lead.
