Led by a career-high 25 points from Dee Givens and a Raneem Elgedawy double-double, Western Kentucky handled East Tennessee State with an 82-68 women’s basketball victory for the team’s second win of the season Friday at the Vancouver Showcase in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Meral Abdelgawad also hit double digits in the scoring column as WKU improved to 2-5 on the season and kept the Bucs winless at 0-6.
Givens’ 25 points were complimented with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. She finished a perfect 9-for-9 from the free-throw line.
Elgedawy finished with a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double – the first by the Lady Topper squad this season.
